The Rescue Pattern is now available in totes and blankets, and this print is different in one very special way: All of the proceeds will be donated to rescues. Since starting my purebred patterns, I have been itching to create a rescue pattern. I know that many of the people who follow my art journey have a rescue dog, and it was important to me to represent them. Each dog on this pattern is a real rescue dog, and each sale I will be giving back to the rescues that took them in.
To kick things off, I will be giving all rescue pattern proceeds to Homeward Bound MN until the end of May. Close to the end of that window, I’ll be back to share which rescue will be our June recipient.
Here is more detail for our rescue of the month:
“Homeward Bound Rescue of MN was created by Cheryl Adams in 1990. A mother to 5 kids and a bunch of animals, Cheryl has always had a love for helping animals in need, whether it was rehabbing wildlife or helping out domestic animals. She started the rescue with an aim to help dogs from all over. Since then, the rescue has branched into cats, and even helps the smallest of critters when they need help. HWB helps both local shelters, owner surrenders, and southern shelters, as southern shelters are drowning with animals and do not have as many active rescues there. HWB is foster based, meaning they only take on as many animals as they have available fosters for. The rescue has maintained its want and ability to help in Cheryl’s daughter, Katie Adams, though all of her daughter’s have helped with the rescue so much over the years. Even her grandkids help, meaning the rescue has made it into 3 generations of people.”
This rescue is a nonprofit and runs on donations and putting adoption fees right back into helping the next animal in need. You can follow them on Facebook, or visit their website to see available animals!
